Treasure Cars in Forza Horizon 6 are built for people who like poking around the map instead of chasing icons. You don't need to hit a story milestone, unlock a special chapter, or grind through Japan discovery levels before they start showing up. Once free roam opens, they're fair game. Get close enough to one and Mei will cut in with a rumor, then the car gets added to your Treasure Cars list. It's a nice excuse to slow down, save your FH6 Credits for upgrades, and actually read the landscape rather than just following GPS lines.
How the search actually worksThere are nine Treasure Cars in total, with one hidden in each region. They don't appear on the map straight away, so you're working from landmarks, road shapes, and a bit of old-fashioned nosing about. When you find one, the game gives you a prompt, plays a short scene, and then lets you either drive it right away or send it to storage. If you'd rather skip the hunt, the paid Treasure Map can reveal the spots, but honestly, drone mode helps a lot. Tap D-pad down, then up, and you can scan forests, rail lines, mountain roads, and awkward coastal corners without constantly crashing through trees.
City, golf course, and tower cluesThe 1991 Nissan Figaro is down by Tokyo City's southern coast. Look for the westernmost city bridge that heads toward the Drift Club island, then drive east along the shoreline until you hit a small parking area with Rainbow Bridge in the distance. The 1969 Dodge Charger R/T sits in Minamino, tucked behind the 365 store near the golf course entrance and clubhouse. It's not deeply hidden, but plenty of players miss it because they stay on the main road. For the 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE in Ohtani, aim for the western edge near Shimanoyama. You want a tower group with three red towers, one large white tower, and a wooden house nearby. The car is on the southeast side.
Mountains, stores, and quiet coast roadsThe 1985 Nissan Safari Turbo is in northeast Ito, up in the highlands near the wind farm. Follow the dirt climb past the Toyota 2000GT Barn Find area and watch for turbine bases, railings, and service boxes. It's near a turbine southwest of the drift zone. The 1987 Porsche 959 is much easier. Head into Narai-Juku in northern Shimanoyama, northwest of Shimanoyama Stadium, and check the big roadside lot outside the 365 convenience store. The 2005 Ford GT is sneakier. In far southeast Nangan, find the coastal road, then look for a narrow path by a yellow roadside sign. It leads east to an overlook where the GT faces back toward Tokyo City.
Railways, waterfalls, and snow roadsThe 1981 BMW M1 uses Hokubu's railway as its main clue. Drive toward the northern stretch of track, near open farmland, flower fields, and the Takashiro border. The 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR is in Takashiro by the waterfall route. Pass through the torii gate, follow the dirt road toward the temple-side river, and you'll spot it near the stream close to the Temple Run-Up speed zone. The 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale waits in snowy Sotoyama on the Tateyama Alpine pass. From Hakusan Mountain Lodge, head west and watch the right side for a large wooden lodge. If you're tuning these finds after the hunt, some players choose to buy cheap FH6 Credits so they can build each one without draining their garage budget.
